Your Meetings Are Someone Else's Product

The Per-Host Tax

Every meeting tool bills you per host, per month, in dollars. Add a department, add a semester's worth of faculty, and the invoice grows — for software you will never own a line of.

Your Data Leaves India

Board reviews, patient consults, exam vivas and departmental briefings ride through a foreign meeting cloud. Under DPDP you are accountable for that personal data — but you cannot see where it went.

No Real Control

You cannot inspect the code, choose the database, hold the audit trail, or brand it as your own. When the vendor changes a plan or a limit, you find out in an email.

Own the Platform, Not a Subscription

MeetSpace is a complete meeting and messaging platform you deploy yourself. One Compose command brings up the web app, the API, the WebRTC media server and the database — all inside your perimeter.

Media Stays In-House

MeetSpace ships with a self-hosted LiveKit WebRTC SFU and its own TURN server. Video and audio route through your servers — not through a meeting vendor's cloud in another jurisdiction.

No Seat Tax

Licensed as a platform, not per host. Every employee, student or officer can host — onboarding a whole department does not change the bill, and nothing is priced in dollars.

Audit-Grade by Default

Sensitive actions are written to a hash-chained audit log you can search, filter, export and retain on your own schedule — the evidence trail DPDP and internal auditors ask for.

Self-Hosted or Cloud

Docker and Podman Compose files ship in the repo. Run it in your data centre, on an Indian cloud region, or let us host it for you — same product, same features.

Everything a Meeting Actually Needs

Not a stripped-down open-source shell — the features your team already expects from Zoom or Meet

HD Video & Audio Calls

1:1 and group meetings for up to 25 participants, with an audio-only mode for weak links

Screen Share & Presenter Mode

Share a screen and the room switches to a presenter layout everyone can follow

Background Blur & Backgrounds

On-device MediaPipe segmentation for blur, virtual backgrounds and video filters

Links & Join Codes

Every meeting gets a shareable link and a short join code — no client install

Guest Waiting Room

Externals join with a passcode and wait until the host admits them; guest video is watermarked

Real-Time Team Chat

WebSocket messaging with typing indicators, read receipts, reactions, @mentions and files

Calendar & Scheduling

Schedule meetings ahead, see them on a calendar, and start them from your dashboard

Picture-in-Picture

A mini-player keeps the call alive while you work elsewhere in the app

  • Multi-tenant organisations with data isolation
  • Postgres, MySQL, SQLite or SQL Server

From Bare Server to First Meeting

No Kubernetes team required. The whole stack is defined in one Compose file.

1

Deploy

Point Compose at your server — the Angular app, Spring Boot API, LiveKit media server and PostgreSQL come up together. Flyway migrates the schema on first boot.

2

Connect Identity

Point it at Keycloak, SAML, LDAP/AD or Google Workspace through environment variables. Users are auto-provisioned on first login; admins get MFA.

3

Meet

Share a link or a join code. The call connects browser-to-your-SFU. Chat, files, audit records and analytics all land in your own database.

A Stack You Can Actually Audit

MeetSpace is not a thin wrapper over someone else's meeting API. It is a real Angular + Spring Boot application with a self-hosted WebRTC media server, and every layer is one you can inspect, harden and run yourself.

Frontend

  • Angular 21 standalone components
  • Signals-based reactive state
  • Tailwind CSS 4 + daisyUI 5
  • LiveKit client with lazy-loaded routes

Backend

  • Spring Boot 3.5 on Java 21
  • Spring Security & Spring WebSocket
  • PostgreSQL 16 with Flyway migrations
  • Actuator health & metrics endpoints

Media & Deploy

  • LiveKit WebRTC SFU, self-hosted
  • Built-in TURN for NAT traversal
  • Docker / Podman Compose + Nginx
  • All secrets externalised to env

MeetSpace vs a Typical Per-Host SaaS

An honest, checkable comparison — the differences are structural, not marketing

  AshuLabs MeetSpace Typical per-host SaaS
Licensing model Flat platform fee — unlimited internal users Per host, per month, billed in USD
Where media servers run Your servers (self-hosted LiveKit SFU + TURN) The vendor's global cloud
Data residency Wherever you host it — including India Vendor's regions and routing rules
Source code access Available with a self-host licence None
Database of record Yours — Postgres, MySQL, SQLite or MSSQL Vendor-managed, not accessible
Audit trail Hash-chained, searchable, exportable Usually a higher-tier add-on
Identity integration 7 providers incl. SAML, LDAP/AD, Keycloak SSO often gated behind enterprise plans
Branding White-label: colours, logo, app name The vendor's brand, on your calls

Built for Indian Organisations

The media server is part of your deployment, not ours. A meeting between two people in your Bengaluru office can stay inside your Bengaluru network — the SFU and TURN run in your own containers.

Sovereign by Architecture Self-hosted LiveKit SFU · TURN · your database

Seven pluggable auth providers — Keycloak, SAML 2.0, LDAP/AD, Google, Microsoft, GitHub and database login — switched on by environment variables, with MFA and rate-limited endpoints on top.

Fits Your Identity Stack SSO without an enterprise upsell

Meetings, chat, guests, storage and audit in one platform, one login, one database. No per-host maths at renewal time, and no meeting sprawl across three vendors.

One Platform, Flat Cost Unlimited internal users · no seat tax

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the video actually travel?

Through a LiveKit WebRTC SFU that runs inside your own deployment — the same containers as the rest of MeetSpace. If you host in India, the media path stays in India. No third-party meeting cloud sits in the middle.

Do we pay per host or per licence?

No. MeetSpace is licensed as a platform, not per host. Every employee, student or officer in your organisation can host meetings — adding people does not change the bill.

Can guests join without an account?

Yes. A meeting can enable guest access with an optional passcode. Guests land in a waiting room and the host admits them from inside the call. Guest video carries a watermark, and the guest cap per meeting is configurable.

How does MeetSpace fit our existing SSO?

Authentication is a pluggable strategy with seven providers: database email/password, Google, Microsoft and GitHub OAuth2, Keycloak OIDC, SAML 2.0 and LDAP / Active Directory. They can run individually or side by side, configured through environment variables — no code changes.

Is there messaging, or only meetings?

Both, in one login. Direct and group conversations run over WebSocket/STOMP with typing indicators, read receipts, reactions, @mentions, file sharing and PostgreSQL full-text search. You can start an audio or video call straight from a chat thread.

What does the admin get to control?

Eight admin consoles: usage dashboard, user management with CSV import and export, audit log viewer, audit retention, storage monitor with scheduled backups, system health (CPU, memory, disk), licence and billing, and white-label theming.

How is it deployed and what does it run on?

Docker or Podman Compose brings up the whole stack: an Angular 21 frontend, a Spring Boot 3.5 / Java 21 backend, LiveKit for WebRTC media, and PostgreSQL 16 with Flyway migrations. MySQL, SQLite and SQL Server are also supported.

Does it help with DPDP compliance?

It puts you in control of the two things DPDP cares about: where personal data lives and who touched it. You choose the hosting region, and every sensitive action is written to a hash-chained audit log with configurable retention and export.
